After visiting Crown Casino many times over the past decade I can tell you the best times to visit are between 10AM and 6PM. Particularly if you want to avoid massive crowds. Neither my wife like waiting in long queue for food & drinks, and want a choice of where we play. This is the harsh reality of visiting during busy times. When to visit Crown Casino, Perth, in my opinion is around midday.
Gaming floor can be busy
We have made the mistake of being there on a Friday or Saturday night and we couldn’t move. Slot machines my wife wanted to play were already taken, and for me all roulette was full.
My sister-in-law and her husband also visited on a Saturday evening and said they had to queue for 40 minutes to get into a food joint and that people were everywhere – they didn’t enjoy it at all.
When we go it is generally on a weekday and arrival time is about 11 AM and my wife has plenty of machines to choose from. Sadly the roulette games I play aren’t open until midday, so I’ll have a beer while I wander around aimlessly.
We generally try to get out of there around 6 PM, at which time the place is starting to hustle with more and more people pouring through the doors.
Food at the right time is easy
During the day food queue are non-existent and that’s how we like it. I may be a bit of snob, but I refuse to queue for more than five minutes. At six minutes I give up and go home!
As the afternoon unfolds the queue start to grow and from 5 PM onwards you may have to wait to be seated, and then wait to be served.
Do yourself a favour and arrive early if you are planning to eat.
The bars are busy
I cannot reiterate enough that earlier in the day is best for just about everything, including getting drinks. I’ve never had to wait long to order a couple drinks, and to be honest I’ve only ever had a maximum of two people in front of me.
Cocktails take longer to make so don’t order them you bast**ds, you’re slowing down my beer service and while your being attended to others are starting to queue up behind you. Drink wine or beer and don’t be a dick with complicated drinks. FFS!
