24 + 10 Roulette Strategy

If you are looking for steady small payouts and a fairly high percentage of wins then the 24 + 10 Roulette Strategy might be a good starting point. If you are playing European Roulette, which has a single 0, your chance of getting a win is around 92%. When I say a win, some wins will only get your money back and if the magic numbers come up, a small profit.

Grinding away a little at a time can allow you to build your bank balance and perhaps start placing larger bets later.

How does the 24 + 10 Roulette Strategy work?

Simply put, you are going to bet on most available numbers. 34 of the possible 37 numbers have a bet on them which gives you an edge over the house. Two components of the total wager are considered hedging bets whereas 10 of the numbers selected provide a small profit.

What is a hedging bet in Roulette?

Hedging bets are bets which help reduce losses if your more riskier numbers don’t come up. If you had $5 down on various numbers, then placing another $10 on the remaining numbers covers your $5 risky bet.

Hedging is used to minimise losses because the randomness of roulette dictates that at some point you will lose.

At its simplest hedging is insurance against a potentially more risky wager. Roulette is still a game of chance and because 3 numbers are not covered on a European table, therefore you can lose it all.

Should you lose it all you could be chasing a win for quite a few spins of the wheel in-order to get back to your starting position.

Example of 24 + 10 Roulette bets

First thing to do is work with column bets and choose which two columns (1-12, 13-24, or 25-36) are your hedge bet and the remaining column will hold your main bet.

Ignore the 00 in this example – I never play it and this is from a simulator

In the above example the hedge bet is $10 on 1-12 and 25-36. A win on either of those returns you $30 which is the total bet amount. Your “small profit” bets are $1 wagers on all but 2 numbers in the 13-24 range. Should one of these come up you’ll get $36 back, that is 35 x bet + bet.

It is your classic grinding system and works well if you are patient. I have personally used this with reasonable success.

My advice when using the 24+10 Roulette Strategy is double your bets when you double your bank. If my bank is $100, when I reach $200 I double my bet to $60 in total. By doubling bets your “small profit” bets return $72 giving you a $12 profit each time. Whether you continue doubling as you go is up to you.

Variation on the 24 + 10 Strategy

If you are feeling a bit lucky you can change the system a little bit and perhaps remove another $1 bet from the 13-24 column which increases profit slightly.

You could reduce your odds of winning while perhaps picking up additional profits by trying this.

In the variation above if any of the selected numbers hit then you profit by $6. On a European Roulette Wheel the numbers 0, 4, 7, 19, 20, 30, and 33 lose your entire wager.

Make variations as you like but remember at some point your numbers will miss the mark and you’ll need to catch up.
