Roulette payouts vary depending on the style of wager you make and range from even-money to 35-1. In my opinion there are safe bets and risky ones too. Safer bets offer smaller payouts where as more risky pay bigger money, that’s why they call it gambling.
Outside bets are safer
Safer bets are general what’s called “Outside” bets and include things like choosing Odd/Ever, Red Black, 1-18/19-36. Outside bets pay even-money.
While choosing Red or Black might appear to give you a 50/50 chance of winning the truth is it doesn’t work that way because of the 0. When a ball lands on zero any even-money bets on the table are lost. Consider that when placing easier bets such as Red/Black or Odd/Even or 1-18/19-36. Don’t forget a zero kills them all.
Despite the dangers of zero even-money bets, based on probability, suggests eventually you will pick a winner.
Inside bets represent increasing risk
Inside bets pay more than inside bets, from 2:1 right up to 35:1. Placing $10 on the first third returns you a total of $30, that is 2:1 plus your original wager. Chasing higher payouts introduces more risk but the rewards are higher if luck is on your side and more costly if you’re having a bad day.
Roulette is a game of chance and the randomness of the wheel can, and does, provide surprises. When making higher-risk bets never gamble anything you cannot afford to lose. Truth is 99% of people placing a single straight-up bet on a single number lose their money.
