These are the tables I play at because they aren’t computerised and don’t require me to stand while I play, unlike live tables. You still get the benefit of a real person in front of you spinning the wheel. Live electronic tables also have somewhere to rest your pint of beer while playing. My health isn’t great and I can’t stand for long periods of time, so this is a great compromise.
I do not trust the purely computerised tables which you’ll find spread out around Crown. I’ve had some odd things happen on those machines. I’m not claiming they are cheating, but computer games aren’t good at choosing random numbers. I’ve been a computer programmer for 30 years and can assure you they are easily fiddled, or weighted in favour of the casino. Again, I’m not point the finger but some oddities have turned me off them.
A real person in front of you spinning the wheel gives me hope that everyone is playing by the rules, both us and them. Despite my hope I was forced to stop playing recently when the croupier did not follow the rule and consistently rolled bogus games; in my opinion. But that’s another story.
Play the live tables if that’s your thing
I have certain amount of apprehension about playing the live tables. Mostly my own doubt in my abilities. I guess I don’t want to do the wrong thing in front of others and make a dick myself, I do enough of that in my everyday life.
Until I build my roulette confidence I’ll stick with doing it my way, but you’d think after all these years my confidence is unlikely to increase more.
